Nikos Papadogiorgos

Nikos Papadogiorgos is a Greek composer living in Athens. He studied classical and jazz piano as well as classical and jazz harmony. Between 1992 and 2000 he worked as a professional pianist, collaborating with various bands and accompanying well-known Greek singers. He also studied film direction as he pursued his interest in visual arts, which may explain why he feels quite at home composing music for picture. In 2004 he started realizing he had the ability to create music himself. Since then, his love for learning has been leading him further and further as he continues to grow as an artist.
A steady yet versatile creative flow has enabled him to produce quite an amount of music in many different styles and genres. He has composed music for documentaries, TV spots, websites, corporate videos, important public events, CDs accompanying children’s books and more. Apart from the professional involvements he has a special interest in setting poetry to music. As a result he has released two CDs with songs for both grown-ups and children.
Nikos’ best assets as a professional composer are versatility, flexibility, creative aspiration and speed. They allow him to switch easily between different styles and to quickly adjust to specific project requirements. More importantly, his compositions have a particular way of serving the project purpose at the highest level, whatever style and genre he approaches. His strongly evocative music could be defined as an intriguing combination of richness and subtle understatement. www.npapmusic.com
