Jean-Pierre Rudolph

Jean-Pierre Rudolph (France)as master  plays mostly jazz and different styles of world music (Middle-Eastern, Mediterranean, Celtic, North-American…). He studied jazz at the “Conservatoire National de Région” of Strasbourg, where he graduated in 1992. Since 1981, he has played in different set-ups (duos, bands…) in most European countries, the USA and Argentina. He has recorded for others, with others or under his own name, over 40 CDs and vinyl records. Occasional arranger, producer, teacher, he has also composed for theatre, exhibitions…
  His main instrument is the 5-string-violin, but he also doubles on the classical Turkish kemançe (little 3-string-fiddle), the ud (oriental lute), the mandolin,  the guitar and different flutes
