Jenny Verplanke

Jenny Verplanke was born in Yzendijke and took her first steps in the farmyards in the Dutch Flanders polders.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Now living in the pittoresc little village Houtave near Bruges, where she has her studio.
Jenny finished the Art Academy of Bruges. She was working as a missionary in Togo West Africa and is still influenced by Africanculture.                                                                                                                                                                     Working as a volunteer with Art for All, she uses her talents to bring joy and creativity to traumatized children in difficult circumstances.                                                                                                                                                                                       Her artwork developed a own abstract style and use of material, she makes paintings and sculptures in mixed media and brons
In the old school building and convent where she lives and working, is also a gallery located, Kunst-Klasse. Sometimes she is organizing workshops, or others can organize a workshops in the same school building.  Participants can stay , up to 15 people. There is the possibility for artists to stay in full pension and use one of the studios to work.
Jenny and Wim have tree children and six grand children.
